Next week, we’ll host the AACC John E. Roueche Future Leaders Institute and the Future Presidents Institute. I love having the opportunity to talk to community college staff and faculty who want to take their leadership skills to the next level. To those of you who are sending staff members to Roueche-FLI and FPI, thank you. Not only do we need to prepare the college presidents of tomorrow, but we need leaders at every level. Investing in leadership development always pays off.
“Even in a Pandemic, Dual Enrollment Increases in Alabama”
More high school students than ever before took advantage of dual enrollment at Gadsden State Community College, marking a 57% increase since 2020. The announcement comes on the heels of the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) releasing data that show an increase of more than 15% in high school students participating in dual enrollment statewide. “Jump Starting Healthcare Careers”
A new program developed by Bluegrass Community and Technical College and UK HealthCare will accelerate the path toward a health care career for high school students with the Healthcare Jumpstart Program. Read about it in the AACC 21st Century Center blog. .
