Ramsay R. Johnson Jr. is the senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) for the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), driving the strategic ambitions of the association’s financial, operational and technological systems. As CFO, Johnson provides strategic leadership for financial sustainability, operational excellence, and enterprise infrastructure that enables organizational success. Working across all portfolios, he oversees mission-driven priorities through resource allocation, financial stewardship, budgeting, technology, compliance, risk management, and operational systems. Johnson partners with the chief of staff on performance systems, ensuring they support AACC’s long-term strategic priorities.
Johnson is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant designation issued jointly through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting concentration from Bowie State University.
