- On Tuesday, September 19, Vice President for Research and Student Success Kent Phillippe, Chief of Staff Tammy Reichelt, Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives Dr. Angel M. Royal, and I met with Association of American Universities President Barbara Snyder to discuss way to better serve community college transfer student at AAU member colleges.
- On Thursday, September 14, I attended a retirement dinner for Mildred Garcia, outgoing president of the American Association of State Colleges & Universities.
- On Wednesday, September 6, I participated in the Homeland Security Academic Partnership Council (HSAPC) inaugural meeting where I serve as Vice-Chair.

Later in the day, I spoke with Mushtaq Gunja from the American Council on Education (ACE) regarding the Carnegie work that ACE is advancing.
- On Monday, June 27 I participated in a phone call with incoming AACC board chair Dr. Joe Schaffer.
- On Wednesday, June 22, I participated in a virtual meeting of the advisory board of the Community College Research Center.
- On June 15, along with incoming board chair Joe Schaffer, I convened a meeting of the outgoing and incoming AACC executive committees for our annual transition meeting.

- On July 15, I provided a keynote address virtually for the Anthology conference. Anthology is one of AACC’s corporate partners.

- On June 21, I traveled to DC to spend the week working in the office. Beginning July 6, our staff will begin their transition toward full face-to-face work in our physical office.

- On June 3, I attended the American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) annual awards program, which honored Howard Community College President Dr. Kathleen Hetherington, Monroe Community College Board Chair Dr. Barbara Lovenheim, Montgomery College President Dr. DeRionne Pollard, and AACC Chief of Staff Dr. Angel Royal. I was pleased to celebrate the honorees with those in attendance.

- On April 6, I participated in a webinar hosted by AACC in collaboration with ACCT entitled “Implementation of Federal Pandemic Funding Bills.” ACCT President and CEO Noah Brown and our government relations teams joined us for the presentation. Northern Virginia Community College President Anne Kress, Compton College President Keith Curry, and Louisiana Community and Technical College System President Monty Sullivan participated as panelists by sharing ways that they have utilized their stimulus funds.

- On April 1, I delivered a virtual keynote presentation to the President’s Leadership Seminar at Guilford Technical Community College
- On March 31, I joined Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab from the Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice, and Jeremy Anderson from Education Commission of the States for a panel presentation to the Board of Governors for the Federal Reserve. The panel focused on perspectives on postsecondary education during and after the pandemic.
- On March 30, I joined American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) President Mildred García, and APLU President Peter McPherson for a panel presentation to the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
- On March 29, I participated in a Zoom meeting with Drs. Dan Kinney and Christopher Parker from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) to discuss several important updates. Later in the day, I participated in a convening by the Association of Public Land Grant Universities (APLU) to discuss a national strategy for international students.
- On March 24, Senior Vice President for Workforce and Economic Development Jen Worth and I participated in a virtual meeting with Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Suzan LeVine of the Education Training Administration and the U.S. Department of Labor. Later in the day, I joined a meeting of the Six.
- On March 23, I participated in the College Promise Advisory Board Meeting. Later in the day, I met with U.S. Department of Agriculture Deputy Under Secretary Justin Maxon to provide him with an update on community college priorities.
- On March 18, Senior Vice President of Government Relations David Baime and I joined a virtual meeting with Dr. Michelle Asha Cooper, deputy assistant secretary for higher education programs and acting assistant secretary for postsecondary education in the U.S. Department of Education to discuss additional guidance on the use of stimulus funds.

- From February 8-10, I participated in several general sessions for the National Legislative Summit, an annual meeting co-convened by the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) and AACC.

Later in the day, AACC Chair William Serrata and I participated in a one-on-one call with U.S. Department of Education Secretary Designee Dr. Miguel Cardona.
- On January 27, members of the AACC Executive Leadership Team and I participated in a Virtual Listening Tour meeting with Ohio presidents. Later in the day, I was pleased to join a keynote panel for the Workforce Development Institute. I ended the day by participating in a virtual meeting with The Six.

Belle Wheelan (SACS), Leah Matthews (Distance Education Accreditation Commission), Elizabeth Ritt (Benedictine University), and Anthony Munroe (Borough of Manhattan Community College) for a panel presentation, “Online Delivery: Saving Factor or Detriment,” for the Council for Higher Education Accreditation’s virtual conference.
