Natural disasters are something that community college leaders always prepare for while hoping they never happen. I have been in touch with LCTCS president Monty Sullivan, LCTCS board member Tim Hardy, and LSUE president Nancee Sorenson in Louisiana who are tracking Hurricane Francine’s trajectory and working to keep their students, faculty and staff safe while supporting the needs of their communities. We are also monitoring the situation as the storm heads north and stand ready to assist in any way we can.

opens in a new windowThe call for nominations for consideration for the 2025 AACC Board of Directors slate is open. The deadline for opens in a new windowsubmitting nominations is Friday, October 7, at 5:00 p.m. (ET). Please submit all nominations via opens in a new windowthis form. All nominees must be CEOs in good standing with the association. The slate will be set upon approval of the AACC Board of Directors during its November 15 meeting. Those nominated but not selected by the committee may have their names added to the slate via the petition process. They must submit 50 letters of endorsement from AACC member CEOs by December 31.
