Interesting facts:
- Irvine Valley College (IVC) is focused on the careers of tomorrow. Our new 32,000-square-foot Integrated Design, Engineering and Automation (IDEA) building opened in 2018. Located at the Advanced Technology and Education Park (ATEP) campus in Tustin, the IDEA building serves as a catalyst for innovative and effective technical education for students and employers in the region, offering such programs as design model production, laser optics and photonics, electrical technology, electronics, and pre-engineering.
- For those seeking the very best in STEM higher education, there’s no better place to learn than IVC. The UCI-IVC Engineering Academy is an innovative new opportunity available to students who aren’t able to enroll in engineering programs at UC Irvine. Academy participants are guaranteed admission to a wide variety of engineering majors at UCI, and will transfer in with junior standing status.
- IVC offers many other ways to transfer to top-tier schools. Under the UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program with UC Irvine, Davis, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz, IVC students are guaranteed admission to most majors when they meet requirements. IVC ranks #1 statewide in transfers to UC Irvine. We also offer a similar program for California State University schools called Degree with a Guarantee, in which students who meet requirements are guaranteed admission to a CSU campus.
- IVC has a vibrant Early College (dual enrollment) program that allows high school students to take IVC courses while still in high school. In addition, IVC is an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI). Our ELEVATE AAPI program provides learning communities, financial aid, leadership development, and research workshops for the entire campus.
