AACC, in partnership with the National Science Foundation, is hosting its fourth annual CCIC competition. The CCIC invites community college students to work alongside a faculty mentor and an industry partner, to craft innovative STEM-based solutions for real-world problems. Ten community colleges will be selected as finalists and will receive travel support to attend an Innovation Boot Camp June 11-14, 2018, in Alexandria, VA. The Boot Camp will provide hands-on learning opportunities for the teams to develop entrepreneurial and strategic communication skills. A highlight of the Innovation Boot Camp is a high-profile reception on Capitol Hill, where the finalist teams will display their challenge projects and have the opportunity to meet and engage with members of Congress, key Congressional staffers, and other STEM leaders. The top two teams will receive cash prizes. For more information and to apply by the February 14, 2018, deadline, see https://www.nsf.gov/news/special_reports/communitycollege/
