“The College has intensified collaboration with our county sponsor and community partners over the past three years to leverage resources and achieve shared goals. As a result, the College – which attracts one-third of the county’s college-bound high school students – is not only a leader in local higher education but also in regional economic and workforce development and quality-of-life issues. Through a new alliance at our county airport, the college will launch an aircraft maintenance program to fill jobs needed by a regional aviation company. On the noncredit side, more students in our inner city now have access to ESL and HSE programs – and a pathway to credit classes – due to the College’s establishment of a new site that is housed within a multi-agency social and community services building.” — Pamela R.
