AACC’s Office of Government Relations (OGR) represents our nation’s community colleges and their students as federal agencies propose and consider new regulations, rules, and guidance. This work includes monitoring federal register notices, responding to proposed rules, and participating in and supporting members during rulemaking procedures.
Washington Watch: ED begins new round of ‘neg reg’Negotiators convene today for the first of three sessions held by the U.S. Education Department (ED) to develop new regulations on institutional quality and program integrity. Topics under consideration include accreditation, distance education, state authorization and “Return of Title IV Funds”.
