Higher Education and Student Aid

AACC’s Office of Government Relations (OGR) advocates for strong federal investment in student and institutional aid and for Higher Education Act (HEA) policies that best serve our nation’s community colleges and their students. These policies include strengthening the federal Pell Grant program and other forms of need-based aid, supporting increased funding for important institutional aid programs, improving our postsecondary data system to better capture student outcomes, and reforming the student loan system with the needs of community college students in mind.
