Washington Watch: Congress releases FY 22 spending bill
Congress on Wednesday released an omnibus fiscal year 2022 appropriations bill that will fund the entire federal government for the remainder of the current fiscal year. A highlight for community colleges and their students is a $400 bump to the Pell Grant maximum award, which will increase to $6,895 in the 2022-23 award year. The Community College Daily is published by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). Read the now online or subscribe to our free daily or weekly e-mail digest to stay informed.
Apply for CCIC by March 30: AACC’s annual Community College Innovation Challenge (CCIC) is a national competition where community college student teams, working with a faculty or administrator mentor, use STEM to develop solutions to real-world problems, participate in an Innovation Boot Camp and compete for cash awards.
