The AACC Board of Directors serves a critical role in creating and maintaining a vision for the association. Personally, the guidance board members have offered has been invaluable to me. And my own experience having served on the board in the 1990s provided me with an opportunity to grow as a leader—and to grow my network of trusted colleagues.

Highlights
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System Foundation this week presented its Impact Award to all of its presidents since the system was created in 1999. I was LCTCS president from 2001–2007, and I am pictured with Wayne Brown, LCTCS inaugural president, Joe May, president from 2007–2014, and current LCTCS President Monty Sullivan.
