Marketing is vitally important to all new programs; good marketing provides insight to deliver new products and services to meet existing needs. It is the process of researching, developing, promoting, and distributing products or services through effective channels to engage with a range of target audiences. Through the ECCA initiative, AACC has seen success through effective marketing when it is focused on two major audiences that will need to be reached: businesses that can partner with the college to expand registered apprenticeship programs and students to fill those positions. The ability to use the effective data-driven information and the benefits that apprenticeship programs would bring to both audiences would be important. Below are examples from colleges that have established marketing campaigns for both local and state-based registered apprenticeship programs.
