Laramie County Community College (LCCC) staff recognize that both fiscal and personnel assets are integral to the success of any program. Through our experience with the Expanding Community College Apprenticeship grant, we’ve learned that direct and consistent communication is critical for monitoring the registered apprenticeships and varying assets that exist in differing wheelhouses across our campus and with local industry partners. LCCC’s Technical Program manager is the conduit of communication between these differing stakeholders, holding meetings on a regular basis, providing written documentation of communications and information, communicating available training opportunities, and effectively addressing the community with the apprenticeship efforts and opportunities available at Laramie County Community College. Crucial to these efforts is the organized and consistent method for tracking and monitoring registered apprenticeship activities and assets – both acquired and needed. These assets are inventoried in a delineated list at the college and allow for a detailed report submitted to AACC each quarter.
