POSITION: President of the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) since 2014. CSI has an annual FTE of more than 6,000 students, has on-campus housing, and NJCAA D-1 athletics.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Served as executive vice president and chief academic officer at the College of Southern Idaho from 2008-2013. Fox is the fourth president of the college in its 53-year history.
AFFILIATIONS: Serves as the commissioner from Idaho to the regional accrediting body, the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and is on the Executive Committee of NWCCU. Past chair and current board member of Friends of Idaho Public Television. Past chair of the Idaho Humanities Council. Board of Directors member and Executive Committee member of Southern Idaho Economic Development. Served as Idaho’s representative to the WICHE-Alliance. Served as chair of Idaho’s Council on Academic Affairs and Procedures (CAAP), chair of the Higher Education Presidents Council (Idaho public higher education). Past vice-chair of St. Luke’s Hospital Board of Directors in Twin Falls.
EDUCATION: BA and MA in English from California State University at Sacramento and Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Idaho. Fox attended the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education (MLE) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
OTHER: Fox is engaged in many community endeavors in partnership with city, health care, and economic agencies in the region. National Guard of Idaho Honorary Commander, Shirley B. Gordon Award recipient (PTK), Amigo del Anos Award recipient from the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs, National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) District 7 President of the Year Award recipient. CSI Faculty of the Year Award, Professor of Merit, and Chair of the English, Languages, and Philosophy Department.
