The fall semester is getting underway on most campuses. It’s an exciting time of year, full of promise. Many of you are launching new programs and services at your institution. It’s a learning opportunity for both you and your students. I hope you’ll let us know what works—and what doesn’t—so we can share the learning. And if you have current programs that have proved successful, submit a proposal to speak about them at the AACC Annual Convention.

Proposals must directly relate to one of the seven convention tracks. Deadline to submit: October 13, 2017, 5:00 p.m. (ET).

Monday, August 21, I was pleased to host SUNY Senior Vice Chancellor Johanna Duncan-Poitier to the AACC offices for a meeting.
On August 24, I was pleased to co-host a meeting with Excelencia in Education with members of the Washington Higher Education Secretariat to discuss ways that colleges and universities are serving Latino students.
