I’ve heard before that community college leaders are not vocal enough when it comes to touting the great work happening on their campuses. I get it: no one goes into this job for the praise or attention. At the end of the day, for most of us, a job well done is worth more than a round of applause. But AACC wants to give you the recognition you deserve. We’re accepting nominations for several awards, all of which will be presented at the AACC Convention in April. AACC/Apple Meeting on Career Readiness
AACC and Apple will hold a joint executive briefing at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California, December 17–18, to discuss career readiness and innovative curricular practices in workforce development. The executive briefing will focus on (1) positioning community colleges as chief postsecondary leaders in advancing the skills essential for career success today, (2) high-performance, high-demand job and career readiness, and (3) innovative curricular practices to help assure this success.
