It’s commencement season—a time of caps and gowns and pomp and circumstance. For our graduates, commencement ceremonies mark an ending and a beginning and are a celebration of hundreds of hours of hard work and sacrifice. For all of the students receiving certificates and degrees, there were people at the college guiding them on their journey to this moment. As presidents, you may not know each student at your college individually, but your good leadership played a critical role in getting them one giant leap closer to reaching the American Dream.

Send Your Rising Leaders to Roueche-FLI, FPI
Are there any mid-level administrators at your institution who could benefit from leadership development? Send them to the AACC John E. Roueche Future Leaders Institute, (Roueche-FLI). It will take place June 24–27, 2018, in Washington, DC. Funding is available to help cover the cost of the institute. Know any senior leaders aspiring to the community college presidency? Send them to Future Presidents Institute (FPI), also taking place June 24–27. The registration deadline for both is June 8.
