Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) in Sept. 2026 transitioned its TRIO Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) to the GRCC Adult Recruitment Department.
As the federal grant for GRCC’s TRIO EOC program came to a close, the college took the opportunity to invest institutional resources to continue the important work and expand support beyond the limitations of the grant. The new Adult Recruitment department serves nontraditional, adult learners who want to pursue a postsecondary degree or certificate. Staff help students with admissions, FAFSA and scholarship applications and career exploration. All services remain completely free.
The department’s focus will stay the same: helping adults 21 and older navigate the college enrollment process, connect with campus resources and achieve their educational goals.
