The Office for the Future is Austin Community College District’s (ACC) innovation engine of emerging technology and long-range institutional strategy. It directs initiatives that involve instructional support and student success, as well as programs that complement and expand academic learning.
Among other things, the office conducts applied research and cultivates national partnerships to keep ACC’s long-range strategy grounded in evidence. Current work includes ACC’s participation in the Digital Twin Consortium’s national higher education initiative, ongoing research through the Austin AI Alliance’s workforce readiness programs, and Alliance of Future Makers as a platform for applied research, collaboration, and innovations across higher education and workforce development.
The office works alongside industry leaders, municipal stakeholders, and community advocates to ensure its work directly serves the people of Central Texas and create models of practice for institutions across the nation.
