22% Student Parents

Parenting while in college is a reality for almost a quarter of community college students. Childcare options, flexible class times, and basic needs assistance are just a few elements that help such students stay enrolled and complete their degrees or credentials. Our colleges work diligently to ensure that balancing these responsibilities is possible. With federal support through programs like Child Care Access Means Parents in Schools (CCAMPIS), community colleges are able remove as many barriers as possible for parenting students.
