Rural Colleges: 260+

Community colleges in rural areas are a powerful source of talent and training that drives local economies. They also better the lives of the 89 million Americans living in rural communities.  For students who live far from urban sites, community colleges are often the only post-secondary education and training provider, and so must be equipped to deliver intellectually rigorous programs that also meet local workforce needs.  Empowering rural colleges with resources and innovation is a powerful investment in our national workforce.

“A lot of my personal beliefs align with what nurses do every day — empathy, compassion and service. Those are the three pillars that really led me toward nursing.”

— Annaleis Sloan
