Credit for prior learning (CPL) enables students who already have work experience or studies in other environments to convert their skills and competencies to credits towards a degree or credential.  Such dynamics facilitate progress to degrees, which increases earning potential for students.  Working adults, military veterans, and career changers often benefit from CPL. In fact, a 25% completion increase was noted in studies of adult learners who benefited from credit for prior learning.
