- The Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium at Seminole State is home to the Central Florida Astronomical Society, one of the largest amateur astronomy societies in the Southeast.
- Seminole State offers seven bachelor’s degrees, including a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Our nursing program is consistently ranked as one of the best programs in the nation and boasts a 98 percent job placement rate for its graduates.
- Since 2006, Seminole State has produced a total of 17 Jack Kent Cooke scholars, including a national record-tying four scholarship recipients in 2015. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation says its Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is to community college graduates what the Rhodes Scholarship is to overseas study.
- Seminole State Raider Athletics had 25 students named to the Mid-Florida Conference All-Academic Team for their achievements in the classroom in 2016-17. They also excelled outside the classroom in 2017, with the Raider softball team clinching its first-ever regular season conference title and the Raider women’s golf team winning its fourth straight National Junior College Athletic Association Region 8 golf championship and placing second at the national tournament.
