This week, we ushered in the newest classes of the John E. Roueche Future Leaders Institute and the Future Presidents Institute. Over the three days of the institutes, the participants – chairs, dean, directors, vice presidents, and more – honed their leadership skills. They were inquisitive, knowledgeable, and eager to learn. And I was, once again, reassured that the future of our sector is in good hands.
I’m thinking of everyone affected by Hurricane Milton this week and those still recovering from Hurricane Helene. As you begin to assess the damage and think about the clean-up and rebuilding to come, please know that AACC stands with you. And please reach out if we can help in any way.

AACC is hosting a webinar on October 30 at 2:00 p.m. (ET) exploring the evolving landscape of legislation impacting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts on community college campuses. Community college presidents will share their insights and strategies for effectively managing these challenges, highlighting their unique perspectives and experiences.
