September 11, 2020 | Issue # 170
Today we look back and remember those individuals that lost their lives in the attacks of September 11, 2001. Further, we keep the families who lost their loved ones in the attacks in our hearts. Though the attacks took place 19 years ago, we all remember vividly where we were during this horrific time in American history. And, while the coronavirus pandemic has impacted the ability to hold the annual memorial service here in Washington, DC, at the scale of previous years, which saddens us, we hope that the families take comfort in knowing that across the country, we are all sitting still, and thinking of them and those that they lost on this solemn occasion. Wherever you are today, I encourage you to take a moment of silence to honor the lives cut short through this senseless tragedy.
