Tour 1 – Industry: Air Products-Port Manatee Manufacturing Facility sponsored by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.

Air Products is the world leader in liquefied natural gas technology. Tour attendees will get a firsthand look at the newly constructed state of the art facility at Port Manatee with over 300,000 square feet under roof. The facility will fabricate the world’s largest heat exchanger to accommodate customers’ demands and needs. The Port Manatee location was selected in part because of its location with access to the Panama Canal, and in part because of its size. Attendees will see the facility is capable of handing the size of the exchanger (known as the “vessel”) which is roughly the size of the Apollo Rocket. Attendees will be able to see the first steps in production of the first exchanger for Air Products Port Manatee, which will take approximately 18–24 months to complete. Upon completion of the vessel, it will be transported across the street to the Port. PLEASE NOTE: Tour attendees must be dressed properly according to safety guidelines. The following items are NOT permitted: open toe shoes, high heels, sleeveless shirts, skirts, or dresses. Cell phones and other recording equipment are not permitted in the facility.
Tour 2 – Education: St. Petersburg College Caruth Health Education Center

Founded in 1927, St. Petersburg College is the oldest of Florida’s 28 state and community colleges now offering 23 four-year degrees and 87 associate and certificate programs. The Caruth Health Education Center is one of the college’s 9 learning sites, and houses interactive teaching and training facilities in a range of high-demand healthcare professions. Tour attendees will visit the state-of-the-art facility housing the J.E. Hanger College of Orthotics and Prosthetics program, as well as the emergency medical services program and the dental hygiene patient-care clinic.
