In August of 2012, the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) approved renaming the AACC Future Leaders Institute in honor of Dr. John E. Roueche. A nationally recognized authority in community college education, Dr. Roueche has written 35 books and over 150 chapters and articles. He has spoken to more than 1,300 community colleges and universities since 1970, and has accumulated honors and awards that are too numerous to name.
To honor Dr. Roueche, the John E. Roueche Leadership Legacy Fund was created to provide financial support to emerging leaders who have been accepted to participate in the Future Leaders Institute, but lack the financial resources to do so. The fund will also be used to attract high-quality faculty for the program.
Dr. Roueche has graciously and generously agreed to match our fundraising effort, and we are counting on you to assist us in meeting a goal of at least $25,000.
