 Future Leaders Institute

Future Leaders Institute, or FLI, is an innovative five-day leadership seminar designed for mid-level community college administrators who are ready to move into a higher level of leadership. These individuals are currently in a position that is responsible for multiple employees, including faculty, administrators and/or staff and probably have titles such as Vice President, Dean, Associate Dean or Director.

 Topics Addressed at FLI

The following topics will be addressed at FLI:

  • Leading institutional change
  • Assessing your leadership style
  • Building and motivating teams
  • Dealing with conflict and challenging people
  • Understanding legal issues
  • Building community through diversity, access
    and inclusion
  • Sustaining an ethical culture
  • Understanding and using technology
  • Visioning with a global perspective

 FLI or FLI Advanced?

FLI is designed for mid-level community college administrators. These individuals typically have the title of Dean, Associate Dean or Director and are responsible for multiple employees on their campus. FLI Advanced is designed for senior level administrators who are looking to move into a presidency within the next couple of years. These individuals hold a position that reports directly to the president or chancellor of their institution and typically holds the title of Vice President. More about FLI Advanced

 

 FLI/WDI Seminar

FLI/WDI Seminar @ Workforce Development Institute 2010
January 26-27, 2010
St. Petersburg, FL

FLI/WDI is an intensive one and a half day seminar designed for workforce training and continuing education professionals looking to move into a higher level of leadership. Planned and facilitated by seasoned community college administrators and experts, this institute will offer practical lessons and scenarios as well as the opportunity to network with the nation's rising community college leaders.
