Headquarters Hotel

The headquarters hotel for the 95th AACC Annual Convention is the Grand Hyatt San Antonio (GHSA) at 600 East Market Street, San Antonio, TX 78205. All convention programming will take place at the GHSA and the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

Single: $209 - $229
Double: $209

The local occupancy tax is 16.75%.

Transportation To and From the Airport:

The San Antonio International Airport is approximately 8.5 miles from the downtown business district with a travel time of approximately 15 minutes by car. 

Shuttle Service

Shuttle service to the downtown area is $20.25 one-way or $36.50 round-trip; Northwest Area (near SeaWorld) or JW Marriott is approximately $39 one-way or $60 round trip; La Cantera Resort approximately $26 one-way or $42 round-trip.  Look for the Shuttle Service kiosks in both terminals near baggage claim or book your trip in advance and get a discount - click here. Taxi rides

Traveling with a friend - two to six rides for the price of one. Approximate fares, not including tips, to the downtown business district from the airport range from $24 - $26; Northwest Area (near SeaWorld) $39-$41; La Cantera Resort or JW Marriott $33-$35.

 

Getting Around Town

 

The E – New Free Downtown Circulator

 

Arriving March 28th, The E is VIA's new Downtown circulator, providing an easy and convenient way to explore entertainment venues, dining, and cultural sites. The E is free! It will operate Tuesday-Saturday, 6:00 pm-Midnight, and will run every 10 minutes. This route provides frequent service from many of downtown’s best restaurants and hotels to entertainment venues and the Henry B. González Convention Center. Downtown Travel 

 

If you're in town for a few days and want to take advantage of the Streetcar, your best deal is to buy a One Day Pass for $4.00.  Order your pass online or stop by the Downtown Information Center or one of the outlet centers. When you get in town, pick up a streetcar brochure in your hotel lobby.  All three streetcar routes connect you to the Henry B. González Convention Center. 

Free Mobile App

 

“Go VIA VIA” is the official VIA Metropolitan Transit free mobile app.  This app is a convenient and time saving tool for VIA bus riders with iPhone and Android smartphones.  Riders can view transit stops in the area and get real time arrivals for routes.  Or just set an alert and the app will let you know when your bus is minutes away.  You can also use the app to plan your trip, view routes and look up schedules.  “Go VIA VIA” provides easy connections to VIA’s online store, rider alerts, Facebook page and Twitter feeds.  If you are riding VIA you have to “Go VIA VIA”.  Click here for more information. River Taxi

The River Taxi stops at 39 locations on the River Walk. Travel within the downtown area, there is a minimum charge of $5.  Two - six people ride for the price of one.

The Sightseer Special Bus

The Sightseer Special (Bus 7)  runs daily between the city's favorite sites.  You can travel to them all for one price.  Locations visited by the Sightseer Special include: River Walk Streetcar Station, Henry B. González Convention Center, Alamo, San Antonio Museum of Art, Japanese Tea Garden, Brackenridge Park, San Antonio Zoo, Trinity University, University of Incarnate Word, Witte Museum and San Antonio Botanical Garden.

Bike-Share Program

San Antonio B-Cycle is an automated bike sharing system intended for short trips and quick adventures.  B-stations are distributed in downtown San Antonio in highly visible and trafficked areas.  Ride a B-Cycle and check it back in to any B-Station within 30 minutes.  The clock starts when you undock.  Dock and undock at any B-station before 30 minutes expire to reset your clock.  Visit SanAntonio.bcycle.com to purchase an annual membership or 7-day pass.
