 Executive Coaching

What is coaching?

According to the International Coach Federation (ICF) coaching is defined as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential." Coaching is not mentoring, consulting or training.

If you thought about executive coaching in the past, and want to know more about it, now is your chance.

AACC is offering registrants for the 96th Annual Convention the opportunity to purchase a one-hour session with an experienced association executive coach.  This is an opportunity to determine if a coaching experience might be beneficial to you. Like our more extensive program, convention session coaching is 100% confidential.

The Types of Coaching offered

Convention sessions on executive coaching will be offered in the following areas.

Resume Review & Enhancement – coach will conduct a review of your resume and offer suggestions for enhancement.

Interview Skills – coach will discuss your career aspirations, and pose questions to you based upon the level of job you’re pursuing.  Coach will discuss strategies that interviewee can use to stand out in a crowded field of applicants.

Career Coaching – Not sure if you’re in the right position or if you want to make a change.  This coaching is designed for individuals wanting to pursue a new job, transition to the next level, or change his/her career altogether.

Personal Development – holistic coaching that deals with the entire individual paying special attention to finding a healthy medium, fostering positive relationships outside of the job, and general work balance.

Executive Coaching – These sessions are specifically for CEO looking to improve strategic decision-making, leadership and executive presence.

Leadership Development – Focuses on the development of skills required to advance new initiatives, address challenges or obstacles in the workplace, and improve working relationships with members of a board, colleagues or subordinates.

What to Expect

Our coaches will provide you with a safe space to have a confidential conversation.  Each coach has been charged to offer unbiased opinions, as well as insight and guidance to resources, and give you helpful tips to gain new skills or improve existing skills.

Our coaches WILL NOT guide you on what to do with your life or find a job for you.
