Dr. Catherine M. Millett is a senior research associate and principal administrator for Dr. Michael T. Nettles at the University of Michigan.
In addition to assisting Dr. Nettles for this New Expeditions white paper, she is co-investigator for two studies entitled "Understanding for Improvement: Finances, Experiences, and Achievements of Doctoral Students" and "High Achieving African American and Hispanic College Drop Outs: A Search for Strategies to Increase Their Performance."
She has published several papers and also works as a consultant. She serves in various capacities with the National center for Education Statistics, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the Pew Charitable Trusts. She is a member of several associations, including the American Association of University Women, American Educational Research Association and Association for the Study of Higher Education.
Dr. Millett recently received her doctorate in higher education from the University of Michigan. She earned a master's in higher education from Harvard University and a bachelor's in economics from Trinity College, Connecticut.
