International Education Week (IEW) 2012 is November 12-16. This year's theme is "Striving for A Healthier Future Worldwide." AACC believes that international education is a quintessential element in the success of community college students and is an integral part of a quality higher education experience. U.S. community colleges play an important role in the global higher education community.
Showcasing Community Colleges
Let AACC showcase your college during IEW 2012 on our website and social media platforms. Send us information about your
- 2012 IEW campus and community activities
- international activities that provide for a healthier future (safe water, food, air, etc.)
- international activities making a difference in the lives of women
- famous Olympic medal winners (especially women)
Help AACC to highlight the important role of community colleges in the global higher education community during IEW 2012. AACC will showcase your activities and the achievements of your college and its alumni on our website and via social media. Those who are showcased will be chosen from the nominations that our colleges send to us.
If you are a U.S. community college administrator, faculty, or student, email a one paragraph nomination (3-5 sentences) to wwheeler@aacc.nche.edu and check the AACC website, Facebook page, and Twitter account during IEW 2012 to see if your nominee was chosen. Make sure to indicate the name of your community college and its state.
