What your colleagues are saying about the Fall 2003 AACC International Recruitment Fairs:

It took a lot of guts to go to Latin America to spread the word about community colleges.  This market will have to be developed more.  We’re not there yet.  But, it was important to take this step, to listen and learn, and to plan the next move.
– Ken Bus, Glendale Community College

AACC has broken the ice in Latin America.  However, the challenge is on with continuous marketing and tours. Keeping parents, Fulbright’s, advisors and potential students informed about the community college concept is absolutely essential for successful returns. This trip was a wonderful learning experience.  With their vast experience and knowledge, the staff of AACC was able to arrange events and provide access to expert sources of information that will prove invaluable to recruiting efforts in the future.
– Vilma Tafawa, Bunker Hill Community College

I had a great experience with AACC in Latin America.  I was able to bring to the school and the community my experiences and knowledge about the places that I attended.  I had correspondence with people in all the countries that we visited and we have two prospective students.
– Patricia Croonquist, Iowa Central Community College

As a relatively new professional in the field of international student recruitment, I have found the AACC tours to be a professional, educational and profitable experience. The connections that CCSN has made with various schools, agents and government educational agencies have proved most worthwhile.  AACC staff are extremely well-organized - from flights and accommodations to meetings with educational authorities, schools and well-attended fairs.  Furthermore, they bring an air of fun and enjoyment to this whole experience.  AACC does an excellent job in inviting feedback from fair participants and actually implementing suggestions into their upcoming events.  As follow-up contact is a fundamental (and perhaps the most important) aspect of recruitment, AACC does a fine job of forwarding names of student attendees and contact information to recruiters.  I am most impressed with AACC and am very much looking forward to future tours!
– Rebecca Grant, Community College of Southern Nevada
