 International Education Toolkit

AACC’s International Education Toolkit contains case studies of innovative and promising practices at community colleges, talking points about the importance of global education, and a fact sheet. The three documents are in PDF format and free to download and print.
  • Case Studies in Global Education  – highlights a diverse sampling of 5 community colleges that are engaging in innovative and promising globalization practices. The purpose of this piece is to communicate that globalization at community colleges is possible regardless of the institution’s size, location or available budget. AACC encourages member colleges to send us information of your innovative and promising practices that could serve as examples to encourage globalization at other community colleges.
  • The Importance of Global Education – provides talking points for community college leaders which can help them effectively communicate the vital importance of global education to decision makers (i.e., board members, local community leaders, state officials, etc.). This document makes strong economic-based arguments for how globalization at community colleges can help create prosperous local communities, valued workers for the 21st century workforce, and a civil society that can help ensure America’s continued success and prosperity.
  • AACC International Programs and Services Fact Sheet  – provides basic international statistics about U.S. community colleges as well as information about AACC’s advocacy and some of the resources and member benefits it provides. AACC believes this document will be useful to a variety of audiences, including U.S. community college leaders, international audiences, U.S. government officials, and other international education organizations.
