This seminar was designed to help community colleges become more labor market-responsive by highlighting the characteristics and value of labor market-responsive community colleges and their role in economic development and growth. By emphasizing the importance of environmental scanning, performance, measurement, and analysis, the seminar focuses on these necessary components for successfully driving regional economic development outcomes. Additionally, identifying tools and best practices for performance measurement serves as a pathway to collaborative, cross-organization economic and workforce development initiatives.
Sustaining Partnerships: Challenges, Approaches, Results
Community colleges must partner effectively with their workforce and economic development agencies, business leaders and other stakeholders in their communities to create a thriving local economy. These partnerships require thoughtful planning, regular maintenance and adaptation.
