Health Professions Education Center
AACC's Health Professions Education Center (HPEC) focuses on supporting and broadening the community college role in health professions workforce. The HPEC represents community colleges in health professions policymaking efforts and provides support to AACC member colleges in their own efforts focused on health professions workforce at both the national and state level.

International Programs & Services
AACC actively advocates an international role for community colleges in all dimensions of worldwide education and training.

Sustainability Education and Economic Development (SEED) Initiative
An initiative of the American Association of Community Colleges and ecoAmerica, SEED aims to advance sustainability and green workforce development practices at community colleges by sharing innovative models and resources and building the capacity of community college administrators, faculty, and staff to grow the green economy. SEED was launched in the fall of 2010. 

Trades in Focus Community College Initiative
AACC through support from W.W. Grainger, Inc. have launched Trades in Focus, an initiative designed to help community colleges promote and raise awareness of skilled trades training and career opportunities.  The program seeks to strengthen the nation’s skilled workforce by encouraging more people to consider the trades and forging connections among community colleges, potential students, employers, business and industry, and community leaders.
