Student Orientation to the ATE Conference:  AACC held a webinar on September 21 designed to provide student attendees with an orientation to the conference.  The webinar highlights why you should attend, what you need to do to attend, what you can expect, and how you can maximize your time to get the most out of the conference and its many networking opportunities.

Student Meet and Greet:  For any students arriving early to the conference, AACC is coordinating an informal meet and greet opportunity on Monday, October 23 at 1:30 p.m. in the Executive room.  Join us for some light refreshment, introductions, and an opportunity to meet your fellow students. The meet and greet will also include a guided tour of the Omni Shoreham Hotel, information on its rich history, and a visit to its infamous ghost suite.  Following the hotel tour, interested students can self-organize into groups to go out and explore Washington, D.C.; and an AACC staff member will be on-hand to offer guidance on where to go and to answer questions about the area.  Student groups can then head out on their own and return to the Omni Shoreham prior to the conference opening session at 6:00 p.m.

Student/Alumni Recognition Breakfast:  ATE students, alumni, and their PIs are expected to attend a special recognition breakfast on Tuesday, October 24 from 7:30 - 8:45 a.m. in the Blue Room.  ATE students and alumni will be formally recognized by NSF for their achievements in ATE programs.

Industry “Speed Networking” Session for ATE Students:  AACC will host a special, student-only session focused on industry “speed networking” on Tuesday, October 24 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.  in the Congressional room.  Speed networking is a process designed to facilitate introductions between business/industry representatives and student participants.  This session will afford student participants the opportunity to meet accomplished business professionals from a variety of backgrounds and companies.  It promises to be an enjoyable, fast-paced, and informative experience as students are given an opportunity to learn and practice interview and communication skills.

Student/Alumni Showcase Session:  AACC and NSF ask that you participate in one project showcase session either on Tuesday, October 24 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. OR Wednesday, October 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall.  The showcase session will give you an opportunity to highlight your program of study and career path.  For ease of reference, the student/alumni showcase schedule is as follows:
