The 2017 ATE Conference will be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, 2500 Calvert Street, NW, Washington, DC (phone 1-800-THE-OMNI or 202-234-0700).
Hotel Room Reservations
There are two official hotel room blocks for the 2017 ATE Conference. The Omni Shoreham Hotel and The Dupont Circle Hotel. To make reservations for either hotel, please do so by the deadline of Wednesday, September 26. If reservations are not made by September 26 (the cut-off date for guaranteed room reservations and group conference rate of $259 per night), you will be responsible for any difference in room costs above the conference rate.
Omni Shoreham Hotel -- Reservation Link
The Omni Shoreham is the conference host hotel located at 2500 Calvert Street, NW, Washington, DC. Please make your reservation at the Omni Shoreham by using the online link above or by calling the hotel directly at 1-800-545-8700. If calling the hotel, please indicate that you are a part of the "ATE Conference." You will be required to provide a credit card number to guarantee your room and cover any incidentals incurred during your stay.
The Dupont Circle Hotel -- Reservation Link
AACC has secured a block of rooms at The Dupont Circle Hotel, which is located at 1500 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, Washington, DC (phone 202-483-6000). Please note that this hotel is located one metro stop from the Omni Shoreham Hotel. In addition, AACC will provide shuttle service between The Dupont Circle Hotel and the Omni Shoreham Hotel over the dates/times of the ATE Conference.
To make reservations at The Dupont Circle Hotel, please click on the reservation link. Go to the "Book Your Stay" box on the left side of the screen. Click on the "More Options" tab. Enter your arrival and departure dates. Click on the "Room Block Code" box and enter "ATEC221017." Click "Find a Room" and the group rate of $259 will appear.
Alternatively, you may call the hotel directly at 202-483-6000 and mention the "AACC-ATE Conference" and the group code "ATEC221017" to book a room by phone.
AACC will cover lodging expenses for designated participants: two rooms for projects and two rooms for centers for the nights of October 23 and 24. Colleges or institutions with more than two ATE grants will receive lodging expenses for a total of five rooms for the nights of October 23 and 24. These rooms will be billed to the AACC master account following the September 26 cut-off date, but incidental expenses are the responsibility of the attendees.
Hotel Costs and Designated Participants
The participants that register as complimentary on a grant (two for projects and two for centers) will automatically have the cost of their hotel rooms for the nights of October 23 and October 24 charged to the AACC master account. If a project or center would like to assign their complimentary room nights to individuals that are not receiving the complimentary registrations as part of their grants, please email that request to email@example.com by September 26 so AACC can properly code the hotel reservation list.
All participants are required to make their own hotel reservations; and complimentary rooms will be assigned to the master account following the September 26 cut-off date.
Additional Room Costs
The cost of additional rooms (reserved by September 26) is $259.00 (single/double) plus tax and will be billed to the individual. Meeting participants who would like to come early or stay late may do so any pay the cost of additional room nights at the rate of $259.00. The hotels will honor this room rate three days prior and three days after the conference dates subject to availability.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are to receive a complimentary hotel room for two nights, please double check that your room has been coded correctly upon hotel check-in. If your room has not been properly coded to the master account, please report it to the conference registration desk so we can correct the billing prior to your check-out.
All attendees are responsible for their own travel arrangements. The closest airport to the conference is the Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA), which is accessible by the Washington Metrorail System. Other area airports include Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) or Washington Dulles International (IAD).
Ground Transportation and Directions from Reagan National Airport:
Metrorail system: Reagan National Airport is accessible to the Washington Metrorail System. Participants should take the metro to Metro Center and transfer to the red line. The Omni Shoreham is located one block from the Woodley Park Metro Station on the red line. For further information on the metrorail system, please see www.wmata.com.

Directions from Reagan National Airport: Follow George Washington Pkwy. northbound to Wash. D.C.; follow past the Pentagon to the Memorial Bridge; while on the Bridge get into right lane and exit at Independence Ave.; follow Independence Ave. back under the Bridge along the Potomac River (this becomes Rock Creek Pkwy.); get into left lane; road splits after passing under Bridge, bear left; exit left at Calvert Street; turn left off ramp; hotel is located on the left.

Go through the underpass at Dupont Circle. Cross the Taft Bridge. Take a left on Calvert Street. The Omni Hotel is one block up on the left.
