Federal and Other Funding Opportunities
Academy for Educational Development (AED), with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is accepting proposals from colleges and community-based organizations to increase chlamydia screening among 15-25-year-old women. AED will award subcontracts valued up to $20,000 to nine local programs for the period January-September 2011. The funding is intended to support programs in defined communities, with the implementation and evaluation of strategic social marketing plans to promote chlamydia and other STD screening through locally tailored GYT: Get Yourself Tested efforts. Proposals are due November 29, 2010. Questions about AED's Request for Proposals should be directed to CTApplications@aed.org.
