<p><span>Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Business &amp; Community Services and under the direction of the TWO Director of Sales, does outside sales for <strong>Training and Workforce Options (TWO)</strong>. This individual will prepare customized training and consulting packages for area businesses and their employees; Develop long-term relationships with the business community; Assess client needs, research, assist with off-campus registration and all aspects of the program implementation; and provide consulting services related to business planning and development. This individual will develop the TWO marketing plan and assist in its implementation.</span></p> <p><strong><span>Responsibilities Include: </span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span>Identify custom contract sales prospects and initiate a needs assessment of each business, i.e. the discovery process.  Work as part of the TWO team to respond to customer inquiries.</span></li> <li><span>Develop relationships with company owners/managers to facilitate consultative sales of workforce development education/training/services to the organizations.</span></li> <li><span>Make presentations or proposals to organizations leading to sales of private contracts.</span></li> <li><span>Provide detailed information on the customer and their training needs to the program/training development team and assist in the preparation of a scope of work and the training project proposal.</span></li> <li><span>Interact with the customer on the training proposal to rectify concerns, amend the scope or proposal, in order to identify the value proposition and the company’s potential return on investment. (ROI)</span></li> <li><span>Assist in the development and submission of proposals to outside business organizations in response to identified training/service needs by working with the TWO program/training development team (Staff and faculty from both Holyoke Community College and Springfield Technical Community College).</span></li> <li><span>With the TWO sales manager and the program/training development team negotiate, write and submit contracts.</span></li> <li><span>Maintain customer service throughout the process from proposal to implementation of the training/services;  include customer satisfaction evaluations and any and all necessary follow-up after services have been rendered.  Ensure that evaluations of instructor(s) or trainer(s) are performed for each training offering or program and that feedback is provided to the instructors.</span></li> <li><span>Market the HCC/STCC on-campus programs and customized on-site programs/services through direct mail, visits to companies, regional networking events, social media, advertising, etc.</span></li> <li><span>Perform marketing activities for the department in collaboration with other HCC-BCS and STCC employees, to include materials development, procurement of printers/mail houses, delivery/pickup of materials, and management/ maintenance of mailing databases.</span></li> <li><span>Establish and maintain record maintenance system on the TWO Sales Force software.</span></li> <li><span>Assist employers with Work Force Training Fund grants information and applications.</span></li> <li><span>Work with the BCS marketing and sales team to develop an annual schedule of standard open enrollment programming occurring on a regular basis on campus and at other HCC branches/satellites and procure through contracts appropriate trainers for open enrollment programming. Research programming enrollments and market demands of open enrollment programming, and develop new open enrollment programming in response to changes in technology or new in-demand training areas. Evaluate customer satisfaction for open enrollment programming.</span></li> <li><span>Perform special projects and related responsibilities as initiated and requested.</span><br> 
  </li> </ul> 
<p><strong><span>Qualifications Include:</span></strong></p> <p><span>Minimum of two years successful outside sales and/or consultative sales experience, including proposal/contract development; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; Knowledge of workforce development current trends and issues; Minimum of two years experience in workforce development/training and/or marketing; Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize; Computer literacy and experience in word processing; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Self-motivated, team player with proven excellence in customer service; Ability to work effectively with diverse outside (area businesses) and inside (divisions and departments within the College) customers. <p>Under  the direction of the Vice President of Student Services, plan,  organize, administer, supervise and evaluate the performance of  academic and classified personnel, and direct the operations of  Counseling Services. The following services areas within the Division of  Counseling Services are: Counseling, EOPS/CalWorks/CARE, Disabled  Students Program Service (DSPS), University Transfer  Center, Articulation, Assessment, Career Center, Personal Development,  Matriculation, and International Student Services.</p>
<p>REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:</p>
<p>1.  Manage, evaluate and coordinate the service areas within Counseling  Services in accordance with legal requirements, District policies  and sound educational principles and practices. </p>
<p>2.  Plan, direct and manage Counseling Service in the compendia of  Matriculation: outreach, student access, assessment, orientation  advisement  and follow up, assuring compliance with county, state and federal  regulations and requirements. </p>
<p>3.  Communicate and interpret program objectives and offerings to community  organizations, students, staff, instructors and others. </p>
<p>4.  Perform the hiring, evaluation and retention of assigned faculty and  staff according to Governing Board policy; support orientation  and in-service education for professional development of program  faculty and staff. </p>
<p>5.  Collaborate regarding faculty teaching assignments and schedules; and  ensure appropriate staffing. Prepare budgets, program plans  and reports and submit through appropriate channels for approval;  monitor and control assigned program operating budgets; initiate special  fund requests; determine need and priority for capital equipment and  materials. </p>
<p>6.  Oversee, direct and monitor the preparation of various federal, state,  county, and school district reports; make presentations regarding  assigned programs as necessary. </p>
<p>7.  Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel; request  and justify new positions; participate in selection procedures  and recommend qualified candidates according to Governing Board policy. </p>
<p>8.  Administer and implement District rules, regulations, policies and  procedures; assist in implementing contract provisions negotiated  by the Governing Board and recognized bargaining units representing  employees. </p>

<p>Academic  managers participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of  educational programs, courses, and other experiences  that will directly result in the educational growth of the students and  support advancement of the visions, missions, and values of the  colleges and District. Managers may be assigned responsibility for a  combination of day, evening, and weekend programs offered  by a college that is strongly committed to the &quot;open door&quot; concept.  Managers will be expected to perform other duties consistent with their  job description. </p>
<p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - APPLICANTS MUST MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:</p>
<p>1.  Master's degree from an accredited institution AND five years of  increasingly responsible management, supervisory or leadership  experience  in a Student Services Program; OR </p>
<p>2.  a current California Community College Supervisory Credential AND one  year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience.  Additional experience equivalent to five years of achievement in  management, supervision or leadership in programs, departments or  divisions within an institution of higher education, with emphasis in  Counseling and Enrollment Services; OR </p>
<p>3.the  equivalent. If you are applying based on &quot;the equivalent&quot; you must  submit an Equivalency Determination Form as part of the application  procedures. </p>
<p>NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:</p>
<p>1) Knowledge of student services in higher education. </p>
<p>2) Demonstrated ability to review and assess Counseling, EOPS/CalWorks/CARE, DSPS and Enrollment Services programs. </p>
<p>3)  Demonstrated organizational skills and management expertise including  successful personnel and budget management in Counseling Services. </p>
<p>4) Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to represent the college in the community. </p>
<p>5) Demonstrated experience of administrative procedures and practices at the college level. </p>
<p>6)  Evidence of commitment to collaborative decision making process and the  collegial process, including the ability to work effectively  and cooperatively with faculty and staff. </p>
<p>7)  Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic,  socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community  college students. </p>
<p>8)  Demonstrated experience and ability to interpret, articulate and  implement pertinent state and federal laws and regulations concerning  community college Student Services, including Family Education Rights  and Privacy Act (FERPA), California Community Colleges Title 5  Regulations, California Education Code; Immigration and Naturalization  Service Regulations. </p>
<p>9) Knowledge and experience in the use and development of Technology in the delivery of Student Services programs. </p>
<p>10) Demonstrate a commitment to participate in shared governance and communicate that to faculty and staff. </p>
<p>OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:</p>
<p>1)  Commitment to participate in the process, development and achievement  of the college vision, and communicate that to faculty and  staff; ability to exercise academic leadership to advance the College's  mission. </p>
<p>2)  Demonstrated experience to plan, direct and manage campus Admission and  Records activities involving registration, attendance accounting,  Records Evaluations, International Students, Veteran Affairs,  transcripts and residency laws, assuring compliance with state  regulations and requirements. </p>

  <p align=center>The  Appleton Museum of Art is the focal point of the Appleton Cultural  Center, a 44-acre complex that also includes  the Ocala Civic Theatre and the Pioneer Garden Club. The museum  building is a contemporary interpretation of classical architecture clad  in travertine marble. Sitting on 11.3 wooded and landscaped acres, it  commands a small rise preceded by a cascading marble  reflecting pool and fountain. The original museum building is a  two-story edifice of 45,000 square feet with 30,000 square feet devoted  to gallery space.</p>
