Job Description

North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS), the nation’s second oldest two-year college, has an exciting opportunity to serve as the Associate Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs. Our community, located on the border of Minnesota, boasts a variety of recreational activities, including hunting, fishing, boating, waterskiing, snow skiing, snowmobiling, golfing, athletic events, cultural events, etc. Enjoy the beautiful lake country, a short 30 minute drive.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

·        Must support the mission, vision and values of NDSCS

·        Master’s Degree in Education, Leadership, Curriculum  Development or related field

·        Five or more years of work experience at a higher education setting in an academic, student services or related area

·        Five or more years of supervisory experience in an organization of significant complexity

·        Experience in leading, managing, motivating and developing a dynamic staff in a team-centered environment

·        Organizational, decision-making and problem solving skills

·        Strong communication skills, including speaking, presentation, writing, public networking and meeting facilitation capabilities

  • Ability to use the computer and communications technology effectively

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

·        Experience in an Academic Affairs leadership role

·        Experience in a Student Affairs leadership role

·        Program development experience and/or curriculum development experience

·        Knowledge of business and industry educational partnership development

·        Knowledge of partnership development with other educational entities

·        Experience in budget development,  implementation and management
