The Board of Trustees of Muskegon Community College invites nominations and those expressing interest to apply for the position of:

PRESIDENT

The next president of Muskegon Community College will be a strategic thinker who demonstrates commitment to students, faculty, and staff as well as to the comprehensive community college. This innovative leader will be a persistent and positive visionary who values and inspires students, faculty, and staff, and will be a person of integrity and honesty. The Board looks forward to working with the new President in increasing its focus on strategic planning to address the unique challenges and opportunities facing Muskegon Community College.

Muskegon Community College is a public, comprehensive, open-door institution, located on a picturesque 111-acre suburban site in the northeast corner of the city of Muskegon. The largest Michigan community on the shores of Lake Michigan, Muskegon offers an exceptionally high quality of life due to its proximity to cultural, recreational, education, sports and entertainment opportunities.

The College offers the first two years of a baccalaureate education transferable to four-year colleges and universities as well as occupational/technical programs that accommodate direct entry into various career fields, serving approximately 5,000 students in credit classes, continuing education and training programs.

The James L. Stevenson Center for Higher Education houses a consortium of MCC and three public universities (Ferris State University, Grand Valley State University, and Western Michigan University). The consolidation and coordination of educational opportunities at a single site have expanded learning opportunities for residents throughout west Michigan.
