The District Board of Trustees and the Presidential Search Advisory Committee of Daytona State College, an outstanding public state college with baccalaureate degree granting authority and a comprehensive community college mission, invites nominations, expressions of interest, and applications for the position of College President.
Daytona State College is a remarkable institution with well-qualified faculty, staff and administrators dedicated to student success and the College mission. It has a significant presence in the community and a well-deserved reputation for quality. The College offers postsecondary education opportunities to 36,000 students annually. Located on the east coast of Florida, the College was established in 1957 as Daytona Beach Junior College. Its current name reflects the expansion of its mission as approved by the Legislature and the College’s Board of Trustees. Daytona State’s service area primarily encompasses Volusia and Flagler counties, with a combined population of over 600,000. Daytona State has six campuses and offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs, including nine baccalaureate degrees. Daytona State enjoys a strong reputation in its service area and has many partnerships with public and private entities.
