Job Description

Odessa College is a comprehensive community college with strong academic, technical and athletic programs. The College is located in Odessa, Texas, a progressive city of nearly 100,000 people situated in the Permian Basin of West Texas, the largest inland petroleum area in the United States. Immediate Openings

Dean of Distance Education with the following qualifications:

-- Master's degree required, doctorate preferred, from a regionally accredited institution;

-- Formal coursework or training in online course development, online teaching, and/or instructional design in higher education;

-- Demonstrated ability to build consensus across reporting lines;

-- Strong communication skills;

-- Demonstrated expertise in instructional development, assessment of learning outcomes and interpretation of student satisfaction surveys in an online setting;

-- Three to five years administrative and budget experience; and

-- Strong organizational and management skills

Dean of Technical and Workforce Education with the following qualifications:

-- Master's degree, doctorate preferred, from a regionally accredited institution;

-- Experience in training and/or development of individuals through formal teaching or other development opportunities;

-- Administrative experience, preferably in a Texas community college;

-- Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills;

-- Commitment to excellence in instruction;

-- Ability to produce effectively on multiple projects under tight deadlines;

-- Industrious, self-motivated, productive and a team player; and

-- Enthusiastic learner who can motivate others to learn
