Southside Virginia Community College, Alberta, VA

Seeking an individual with good organizational and communication skills to serve as a Career Pathways Consultant for the On-Ramp program. On-Ramp will assist participants to upgrade their skills and return to the workplace.

Responsibilities: Facilitate educational planning and career development activities, outreach, intake, referrals, academic support, career exploration and planning; follow-up and reporting. Must be willing to work evening hours. Travel to the Keysville, VA campus required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree with related work experience. Related bachelor’s degree preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills; advanced computer and record-keeping skills. Knowledge of educational planning and career development. Work experience in community college or higher education preferred.

Full-time, grant-funded position with restricted state benefits. Minimum salary of $23,999.
