Developmental Math Chair
Mathematics Program Chair
Manage all elements of mathematics program, including related enrollment management, program administration, and human resource management, ensuring coordination with academic and non-academic departments. Provide vision and leadership in planning, organizing, operating, and evaluating the department and the division. Perform instructor responsibilities as required. Act as liaison for the department within the AA Division, the College and the community.
Supervise full-time & adjunct faculty, departmental support staff, and students in a class, lab or clinical setting. Fully supports the College's mission and strategic plan initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Effectively deliver assigned classes in accordance with the College loading policy and course objectives [including any program-specific responsibilities]
- Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and other course materials.
- Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and or other documentation as required.
- Maintain a safe, quality classroom.
(Developmental Math Chair requirements)
Master's degree or higher in Math, from a regionally accredited institution, or a Master's
degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in math along with significant supervisory and management experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be computer literate and have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred.
(Mathematics Program Chair requirements)
Master's degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in mathematics or mathematics education, or a Master's degree in education with 18 graduate semester credit hours in mathematics courses. Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred.
Faculty, Political Science

Provide instruction (classes & labs) within specific programs; assist academic administrators with curriculum development, student advising, program enrollment; provide institutional support and community service. Fully supports the College's mission and strategic plan initiatives. The start date for this position is Fall 2010.
Essential Functions:

- Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and other course materials.
- Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and other documentation as required.
- Maintain a safe, quality classroom/ lab, including equipment, supplies, inventory and maintenance.
Masters or higher degree in Political Science or Public Administration: or a Masters degree with 18 graduate hours in Political Science or Public Administration. Prior teaching experience and familiarity with using computer programs as aids to instruction preferred.
