PAUL D. CAMP COMMUNITY COLLEGE

VIRGINIA HIGHLANDS COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The Virginia Community College System is widely regarded as one of the leading college systems in the nation serving over 375,000 students in credit courses and workforce training programs at our 23 colleges on 40 campuses. Our colleges are held in high esteem by all of our constituencies to include students, parents, citizens, the business community, the legislature, and the governor. The transfer environment in the Commonwealth is second-to-none due to System-lead efforts that secured state-wide guaranteed admissions and transfer to four-year institutions. Mountain Empire Community College is located in Big Stone Gap, a beautiful and scenic rural setting, serves nearly 4,500 students, and is known for its rich heritage of music, crafts, and foods. It is also home to the annual Mountain Music School.

Paul D. Camp Community College is located in the Western Hampton Roads area, where it serves a diverse student body of approximately 2,500 with a rural campus in Franklin that includes a Regional Workforce Development Center; an urban campus in Suffolk; and an off-campus center in historic Smithfield.

Virginia Highlands Community College is located in Abingdon,Virginia and serves over 3,600 students. The College has recently broken ground on the new Heartwood Artisan Gateway Center for Southwest Virginia which will promote the area’s diverse crafts and cultural and natural attractions.
