Faculty and Administrative Professional Opportunities

INSTRUCTOR OF ENGLISH – Temporary One Year Appointment – Auburn, NY Campus
The School of Media and the Arts (SOMA) seeks applications for one (1) 10-month, one-year temporary teaching appointment in English Composition to teach first-year writing and developmental English during the 2016-2017 Academic Year.

Qualifications: Master's in English with specialization in composition/rhetoric; developmental and community college teaching experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated commitment to teaching first-year students. Knowledge of key issues in college writing instruction. Familiarity with current course, program, and curricular assessment practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Additional experience and interest in developmental studies, WAC/ WID pedagogy, reading/ literacy instruction, new media/ multi-modal composition, professional/ technical writing, or technology-mediated instruction is desirable. Salary: $54,241 based on last contract plus a comprehensive benefit package

ADJUNCT FACULTY OPPORTUNITUNITIES Adjunct/Part-Time (fall 2016 and spring 2017)

English – Developmental Reading and Writing – Fulton, NY Campus
Qualifications: Master's degree or graduate certificate in Reading or Literacy at the post-secondary or adult level, including a background in Diagnosis and Remediation or a Master's degree in Composition / Rhetoric, Developmental English, or Developmental Education with demonstrated success in teaching Reading and Writing at the post-secondary or adult level.

Economics Instructor – Auburn, NY Campus
Economics Instructor to teach macroeconomics and microeconomics classes.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Economics or related field with 12 or more graduate credits in Economics required. College teaching experience preferred.

Early Childhood Education Instructor – Auburn, NY Campus
Instructor to teach multiple sections of Early Childhood Education classes. Master's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Master's in related field with at least 15 credits in curriculum development and assessment and experience working in classrooms serving children from birth to age 8 required. College teaching experience preferred.

COORDINATOR, WELLNESS AND INTERVENTION SERVICES (Part-Time, Fulton campus):
The Coordinator provides direct personal/supportive counseling services, coordinates meetings, maintains all records for the campus-wide Behavioral Intervention Team, and provides direct services to students including crisis intervention, short-term supportive counseling as well as information and referral services to community-based mental health providers.

Qualifications: Master's Degree in Counseling or highly related area; Experience in Student Services, Student Development or counseling required; Community College experience preferred.

STUDENT SUCCESS ADVOCATE (Part-Time; Auburn campus):
The Student Success Advocate supports College efforts to ease the transition to college and increase retention and completion rates. Intrusive advisement strategies, including student tracking, monitoring, support, outreach, and advocacy will be implemented. Cohorts of at-risk students are identified and served, to reduce withdrawal and failure rates.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in psychology, student affairs, or counseling preferred; Familiarity with the mission of community colleges required; community college work experience and college teaching experience preferred; Experience providing college-level academic advisement and course registration preferred; Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and a positive attitude required;

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING, COMMUNICATIONS AND NEW MEDIA
Seeking a creative, innovative entrepreneurial leader who thrives in an energetic, fast-paced environment of change. Under the direction of the Vice President for Student Affairs, and in collaboration with admissions and enrollment staff, leads the marketing, communications, and new media efforts for internal and external stakeholders. Coordinates with College offices on issues relating to marketing, communications, publications, branding, public relations, and emergency management. Purchases and places print, radio, TV, online and new media. Serves as the official College spokesperson and liaison to the media and the College community, including oversight of crisis communication. Works with advertising agencies, media outlets; negotiates rates and determines media buying opportunities. Supervises the Graphic Designer, Webmaster, affiliated clerical staff, and work-study students.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field required; Master's preferred. Minimum three years of full-time experience in marketing, communications, content development, or closely-related field; Demonstrated proficiency with media and/or institutional relations. Working knowledge of traditional and digital advertising mediums, Google Analytics, WordPress, search engine optimization (SEO) and other media management products. Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills. Fosters a diverse and inclusive working environment. Ability to work independently, collaboratively and successfully, using a team approach to problem solving and decision making. BURSAR – Auburn, NY Campus
Seeking experienced working manager for traditional higher education Bursar type responsibilities including all aspects of student billing, tuition and fee assessment, cashiering, working with third party vendors to setup student payment, supervision of staff, and coverage of office as needed. Responsible for the collection of delinquent student accounts. Processes student financial aid disbursements. Oversees year-end tax reporting forms for students. Assists in developing policies and procedures in regard to all aspects of student accounts. Salary DOE. Include salary requirements in letter of application.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, preferably in higher education, with 3 years' experience as Bursar or similar position. Working knowledge of Excel and Word required. Banner experience preferred. A strong commitment to customer service and the mission of the Cayuga Community College Business office. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work with a team, and the ability to communicate with a diverse population.
