MCC seeks a student-centered Vice President of Instruction who is energized by creative thinking for program development, who has a forthright work ethic, and is excited about the opportunity of helping the College build upon past successes and chart new beginnings. The successful candidate will be based in Fort Morgan, CO and will be a faculty advocate, will promote diverse academic offerings (from agriculture to the arts), will have a track record for innovation and creative thinking, and will possess character traits that include impeccable integrity, high standards and convictions for principled work, and a philosophical commitment to the comprehensive community college mission. The VPI provides leadership to 32 full-time faculty, approximately 90 adjunct faculty, and a number of instructional support staff. There are three instructional divisions: Arts and Sciences, Health Occupations, and Business and Applied Technology.
MCC also has a strong outreach and distance learning presence – particularly to high school students taking concurrent (dual) enrollment classes. MCC serves 3,000 students annually; 75% are part-time, equating to 980 annual FTE.
MCC has been recognized as a “Great College to Work For” by the Chronicle of Higher Education for five consecutive years and has received honor roll designation for high scores in multiple categories.
