Clinton Community College (CCC), located on the shores of Lake Champlain in upstate New York, seeks an entrepreneurial and collaborative leader with strong financial acumen to serve as its next President. The College is a publicly supported community college providing educational access and opportunity in a student-centered environment. The new President will lead Clinton Community College at a time of opportunity with an energized faculty and staff who are eager to enhance a College that is a cornerstone of the community and the North Country more broadly.
Founded in 1961, Clinton Community College is a unit of the 64-campus State University of New York. Located less than an hour from Burlington, Vermont and Montreal. Clinton Community College offers 21 academic programs in arts, business, criminal justice, liberal arts, nursing and health, science, and technology. Shorter length certificate programs are also offered, as well as continuing and professional education courses. In the 2014-2015 academic year, CCC enrolled 3,537 students, including 1,829 full-time, 1,708 part-time, and 558 high school students enrolled in credit courses. Clinton Community College employs over 140 full-time faculty and staff and has a budget of approximately $14 million.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the President will work with the campus community to create a vision and strategy for the future of Clinton Community College that capitalizes on the creation of a new Advanced Manufacturing Institute, strength of area industry, and existing strengths of the faculty and staff at the College. S/he will lead by example, creating strong sense of shared community and commitment while recognizing and celebrating the success of all College stakeholders. As the chief ambassador for Clinton Community College, the President will enhance partnerships and relationships with area businesses, industry, local government, alumni, and other educational institutions and civic organizations. The President will also provide strong and transparent leadership in managing the College's budget while acquiring necessary financial resources from diverse sources.
